As a Product Marketing Lead within the Data Ventures, you will be the leading subject matter expert (SME) for the growing portfolio of digital/tech products and solutions, transforming our capabilities into key product value and benefits.
You will develop market and product strategies, create product positioning and messaging, define and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and enable revenue-generating teams, while partnering with various internal and external stakeholders throughout Walmart.
In this role you will play a pivotal role in driving market success and adoption of our products.
This position reports to the Director of Product Marketing,What You'll do:
- Improve and accelerate our marketing and products by effectively identifying and communicating unique selling points (USPs) through a diverse range of inputs- Develop product positioning and messaging that articulates WDV value proposition in various marketing and sales assets, including case studies, pitch decks, and other customer collateral- Scripts product demos to continually capture the key value proposition- Identify market opportunities; build data-driven product marketing strategies and develop business cases working closely with product teams and sales- Devising and executing digital marketing tactics (email, web) to track success for our team with measurable outcomes- Manage planning and execution of various new product program launches at various life cycles, including alphas, betas, and general availability stages- Maintains a close audit on marketing materials to ensure up-to-date descriptions- Contributes to monthly release notes, Data Ventures demo days, and other Data Ventures internal marketing commsWhat You'll bring:
- Strong communication skills:
An exceptional active listener, interviewer, and interlocutor, coupled with the ability to simplify complex statements, ensuring clear and concise messaging across the organization.
- Extensive product marketing background:
A track record of success in product marketing, specifically within tech and B2B industries, complemented by experience in launching multiple products.
- Experience successfully navigating start-up environments or standing up new organizationsHow Your Time Will be Spent:
30-40% - Involved with Product Management teams to build deep product expertise and product fit within portfolio 15-20% - Involved w/ Product Marketing team to represent product(s) (positioning/value prop, strategy, communication) 10% - Manages and mentors dedicated Product Marketing copywriter on Product Marketing team 10% - Performs competitive intelligence and stays up to date on market trends 10% - Attends sales calls and customer calls (QBRs, demos, AM meetings) to collect perspectives 10% - Works directly with Director of Product Mktg to inform holistic marketing strategy Location & Travel:
Hoboken, NJ, or Chicago, IL, or Bentonville, AR office, with a hybrid 2-3 days/week in-office expectation.
May travel as frequently as once per month.
